Two Days Strong

Calories- 132
Time 30 minutes
Activity- Day 2 of 30 Day Fitness Challenge in Wii Active

In his words -I am so proud about today. I did better than yesterday. I am proud that I have changed from not wanting to do it to wanting to do it. I want to lose 30 pounds by my birthday Aug 30 besides run my mile under the time they want. Calvin my school day janitor said that at the end of the year he will run with me for my mile. He told me he was in the Navy. I have a Navy shirt that my uncle gave to me and when it was Veteran's day I wore it and wrote go Calvin. He is a big supporter to me and I love him as a friend. He says that I am his best friend.

We have a game on the Wii and it is called Wii Active. That is how I burned 132 cal. Each day it gives my different exercises that I can do for 30 minutes. I get out my sweat rag and a bottle of water. As soon as I turn it on the sweat starts. Whenever I waake up I don't turn on the light and wake up my brother Taron and I sit on the side of my bed and I say "I am going to lose 30 lbs before Aug 30." I can do this. When I reach my goal we are going to have a little party with healthy snacks.

I am proud of my Mom for motivating me and not letting me say "I don't want to do this, I don't want to do this."

Using the Wii fit was not the most productive as far as getting Keaton moving. The Active 30 Day Challenge is amazing. He did it yesterday and today. It moves quickly. Shows progress along the way. Always something new to do and full of motivation. I think this will be a great way to keep things interesting for this 9 year old.

Oh, my Keaton, I see you strive to achieve your goals and my heart swells with joy. As your mother I want nothing more than to shelter you from every pain and burden you will face in this life. Yet, I know that is not the plan for us. I wish you didn't have my genetic disposition for wonderfully rich foods, leisure activity and the desire to use food to parallel with every emotion. I have struggled for years and now see the struggle you face. Childhood is difficult as it is. You are strong and powerful. You inspire others around you everywhere you go. Your love and sincerity shine through. When Keaton told me about Calvin I felt a tear hit my cheek. Everyone wants you to succeed as much as I do. Be strong and not weary. I am by your side. Your Heavenly Father will carry you when you need to be carried.

I say that but I feel it is Keaton that carries me. I am truly blessed.
